Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter

Pretty strong juniper scent. Pleasant roasted after-taste with heavy notes of coffee. There is a hint of licorice in the foreground. The after-taste grows smokier and my imagination creates a note of bacon. Very good with a sharp sourness not always seen in porters.

Very bitter and leaves a rough feeling in the mouth. Fruity but those notes drowns in the bitter hops. Very interesting but I would have liked the hops a little more subtle.

Bitter in a mild way. A little flowery in its taste but unfortunately it leans more towards perfume than freshness. Hard to drink.
