So I finally got some time to trim this deck and this is the version I’m planning on trying out for a couple of games now. I have seriously considered adding Auspex as some of you friendly comments suggested but I feel its not the way to go. If Asguresh would have had superior Auspex some bleed bounce would have found its way there. As it is now I fear that the deck would lose potential and become more toolboxy adding the block-angle and I don’t think it would actually survive most games. The fifth copy of Asguresh is simply there for the opportunity of putting the first Nagaraja-deck on the Twda. Well, here is the updated list:

ReplyDelete-The star has aus NEC. 1x Trochomancy could really hose an ashur/anson prey.
-You may need some more cycling tech. Barrens could help ditch extra .44s, concealed weapons, master cards, etc. Dreams is good, as always, but especially with those 5-caps because you can influence them out on turn 1 potentially. Learjet would be like infernal pursuit, but permanent.
-Powerbase: Tshwane could be useful to control the cost of a lot of things in this deck.
-Resist the Earth's Grasp covers a lot of ground with a deck like this. Rush at stealth or get an extra maneuver and press(although flash does this better). The stealth is good for equipping that codex vs some annoying Telepathic Misdirection intercept, too.
I had a CEL/cel gun deck featuring Asguresh that I did somewhat well with but it had the Anarch angle as well using Diversion (had quite a few cel/for guys in there mostly from Ishtarri) and Powerbase: Los Angeles for discarding.
ReplyDeleteI would suggest Wider Views definitely with that amount of Asgureshes. With Wider Views you could even add the AUS bounce as getting Titi would be more likely.
Just a few thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI'd remove the fleetness, you don't seem to have permableed on the vamps and the rush on fleetness is just not good enough, since you have auspex nose of the hound should would work better or even just add a resist earth's grasp as mentioned above.
I almost always build combat decks at 90 cards since it takes more cards to hurt vamps rather than pool, also vamps regain their "resources" faster. Try to see the game as a stall until you have a 3 player situation in wich you need to kill all the remaining vamps for both players or hurt them enough so they can't recover until they are both dead by your hand.
For this you need early backousting power to hurt the first predator just enough so he stalls and dies slowly, at the same time keeping a second deck you want in the final rounds strong enough to get into that 3-player situation. This can mean crosstable ousting, but that is because you need to stay in control of the table without recklessly ousting your prey and getting a new prey you can't handle properly.
Try considering the game in that light and analyse your deck again. At the moment i'm afraid it's looking too much like a first-prey deck wich will stall since your second prey will be crosstable ousting you or kitting to handle your deck.
